Past Shows 2015-2017

Still recording music and playing in Dollar Store Riot (with a new bass player). Also, last but not least, now that my kids are older and less “needy,” I am reviving my own musical endeavors, not as “Thea K” or some other name, but simply as myself, Thea Kearney. I am currently working on a full length album of about 10-13 songs. A retrospective of sorts and theme album titled, “Companions In The Landfill” that is an autobiography of my life over the past half century. Holy sh*t, there I’ve admitted it, but age is just a number, right?

Past Shows 2012-2014

See entry below about b/c — before kids — when I didn’t think I had a lot of free time, but apparently did. After getting married, having two boys and moving to the burbs of New Jersey, I totally quit playing music for awhile. That was until shows like “America’s Got Talent”, Adult X Factor and The Voice got me inspired to start playing again. I even went on a few auditions but you can see how that went…

This ushered into the current day when I joined Dollar Store Riot in 2012 as their main singer and eventual lead guitarist (hey, I didn’t forget how to play a few smokin’ leads and can still bend the guitar strings).

Past Shows 2001-2006

These were the years before I had kids when I was playing in a trio: bass, guitar/vocals, drums as the “Thea K” band and also playing acoustic/unplugged shows in New York City and a few gigs abroad. I played various live shows since about 1987 when I was in college at The University of Massachusetts and we played for free beer and pizza. The various and sundry bands had names like Wichita Chort, Pope Joan, Bleach and some other names I can’t remember.
